This is a small teaching business, and the approach to your information is just as simple as the rest of it: collect as little as possible, keep it safe, and never sell it.
This website does not have a contact form, an account system or a shop. The only way you share information through it is by choosing to email me. When you do, I receive whatever you put in that email, such as your name, your email address and what you tell me about your French.
I use the details in your message only to reply to you, arrange lessons and stay in touch about your tuition. I do not add you to any marketing list, and I do not share or sell your information to anyone.
This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit and which pages are useful. It is switched off by default. Nothing loads and nothing is tracked unless you accept analytics in the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google.
When analytics is on, Google sets cookies to measure visits. Your IP address is anonymised, the data is only ever seen in aggregate, and it is never used to identify you personally. The site sets no advertising cookies and does no ad targeting.
Analytics is OFF until you choose to turn it on.
Lesson-related correspondence is kept for as long as we are working together and a reasonable time afterwards, then deleted. If you would like me to remove your details at any point, just ask and I will.
You can ask to see what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. To do any of these, simply send me an email.
Questions about any of this are always welcome. Plain English, plain answers.
